A conversation between Sifan Chen and pattern-maker Gaetano Gurrò in Milan.

Recently, we had the honor to visit Italy and visit Mr. Gaetano Currò from Sicily, who is currently a pattern-making teacher at Istituto Carlo Secoli.

Mr. Gaetano shared with us the rich folk customs and food culture of Sicily. His background in fashion design made him full of passion and depth when talking about the influence of his hometown culture on his creation. Influenced by his mother, Gaetano has been disassembling clothes with his mother since he was a child, which laid a solid foundation for his clothing cognition. And his background as a designer has allowed him to inject his own unique thinking into the lines during the pattern-making process.

These processes also coincide with our brand DNA-nostalgic. When talking about the "poetry in life", he said that life is full of poetry. As a translator for designers, he enjoys the poetry of "presentation".
